The impact of storm ciara

On Sunday (9.2.2020) Storm Ciara hit the UK, we have collated a few photos to show the impact of the storm on the equestrian community…

This shelter was completely destroyed, luckily the ponies were not in the shelter when the wind took hold.
This mare had the elastic straps on her new rug stretched so much when she put her bum to the wind that it went right down her head and she couldn’t see or move ! Thankfully this horse was very sensible and the owner managed to sort the rug out without any problems.
Flooding caused by the storm.
Stable roofing destroyed.
Roof lifted of in the wind and completely over the hedge. A terrifying experience for those involved but luckily no people or animal were injured.
