Homebred 'Special Horse' Must be WilliamFeatured
Dressage / Posted 1 week ago
Homebred 8 year old, Belgian Warmblood Thoroughbred X, Voltaire, Darco, Shirley Heights bloodlines, with good correct paces and an excellent walk. 85 BD points just completed his first Elementary, first outing after lockdown. He also has a good bold jump and would not look out of place in the Working Hunter ring.
He has been produced by a professional yet regularly ridden by capable amateurs. Must be William (Billy) started his Dressage career at Prelim level in late August 2019 qualifying within the first 4 months for the Novice Silver Winter Regional’s where he just missed a placing.
After the Winter Regional’s he was given a change and tried his hand at BD combined training and unaffiliated Arena eventing, jumping any filler with corners, water trays, skinnies posing no problems. He has had one unaffiliated CT outing with 2 tests and won both classes. He qualified for the BD CT championships at his only affiliated outing and was piped to 2nd in the Championships.
Billy always produces correct tests and has lovely comments from the judges. He enjoys a variety of work, has a good bold jump, both in an arena and X-country. He hacks out alone or in company. He is happy to stay away at shows, travels and stands both alone and in company in the horse box. He thrives on work and variety yet he is very much a yard favourite who loves attention and fuss.
He is a light middleweight who has been competed and ridden by a petite lady. I have owned both his mother and grandmother now he is seeking a home to do him justice, a special horse looking for a special owner. A serious prospect for a capable amateur, whilst good enough for a professional rider.
